June holiday is here! Many Singaporeans may wish to choose Europe as one of their holiday destination due to the favorable euro currency rate. It seemed that some of the tour packages also include Switzerland as a destination stop. I've been such tour with ASA 2 years ago and I believe that one of the highlight during the trip was Hotel Christiania in Zermatt.
To prevent air pollution, Zermatt is a car-free town and relies on electric shuttles for commutation purposes. I sat on one electric shuttle (their version of taxi) and it costed around 20 to 25 Swiss-frank. The distance is only from the main train station to the hotel. (walk-able distance) I bought too many chocolates including a 1kg Toblerone thus bo bian (no choice) I sat the shuttle. But, the old couple that sat with me was very kind to treat me the "taxi" ride. (we belonged to the same tour group. )

Toilet door |
The toilet door is made out of frosted glass but there's still clear glass in between and the view is the toilet bowl, so...if you are doing your toilet business, and a person would to walk by, the person can see you very clearly. >.<|| My friend and I would "annouced" to each other when we're using the toilet. lol...

So why issit such a highlight of my trip? It's because of the breathtaking view of the Matterhorn straight from our balcony!

I think the pictures doesn't give enough credit to Hotel Christiania. It's really much more spacious, and beautiful in real life.
